Imagine a couch being more important than a life? Kitties NEED to scratch, It is our way of releasing stress. You humans have therapy, chocolates and dare I say worse fixes to release your everyday stress. We kitties use our claws to exercise leg muscles, leave little notes to our friends and yes release anxiety and even at times show signs of happiness and comfort. Our claws are crucial to our wellbeing. What a shame that humans don't see what a wonderful gift we've been given and only see it as destructive behavior.
